Rio Grande Safe Communities Coalition
RGSCC, a prevention program coordinated by the Level One Trauma Center at The University Medical Center of El Paso, is the catalyst in advocating for community change in partnership with individuals, organizations, agencies and business in El Paso. The Rio Grande Safe Communities Coalition is funded through a Community Coalition Partnerships (CCP) Grant from the Texas DSHS/ HHS.
Our mission is to encourage community action to implement evidence based strategies focusing on prevention and reduction of Underage Drinking, Binge drinking, Marijuana and prescription drugs use and abuse.
Promoting safety and health to reduce substance abuse to enhance the quality of life for youth and adults living in El Paso. We are working to create a community free from consequences caused by alcohol marijuana and other drugs.
